Painting & airbeds

A few days without any entries on this blog and the reason has been simple; busy, busy, busy.

We cleared out the bedrooms of all the spare furniture and returned that to our friend; Handy out, just rent a van & driver and for 70 EUR we had everything moved out and plenty of space again!

So yeah, I started painting the bedroom... it will be a rodeo drive colour... whatever that is? Come and see for yourself...

Housewarming the Rebirh is being planned!

And the floor looks great!!

It's amazing! We've been waiting for this for so long!

The floor is down and it looks great! We've pretty much put all the furniture back into place and it's great to have a home again, rather than to live in a building site.

The bad buzz today is that I will not get the car as of yet; so I will probably start looking for another one, or get myself a new bike or moped and work away with that.

One more day to the weekend, time to relax in Kerry! It's needed!

Today's the day!

It's been a long, long wait...

It's basically been 2 months with concrete floors in our livingroom and hallway, but all going well we'll have a laminate floor installed today!!

I finished painting the kitchen late last night, fairly neckard now today, but it's worth it!!

Floor will be installed on Wednesday!

Excellent!!

Spoke to the guy that's gonna install the floor; he'll pick it all up on Wednesday and install it while we are at work.

Can't wait!!

Floor ordered!

At first we were told that the floor was End Of Life which would have been disastrous... at least now we were told that they still have a small bit of stock left, so on Tuesday the stock should arrive! Excellent!

But yeah, I must say it was quite enjoyable to see the Dutchies play well for a change!



Other news:

We got the cheque for the house.
We finished the painting in the kitchen.
With a bit of luck I can source flooring today, pick it up on Saturday and have it installed on Monday / Tuesday.

Let's see.

Nemo

And when I rang herself last night, I could hear little Nemo scream his little head off....

Fair play to the little kitten!! This weekend Linda & Leo will collect it again and nurse it for the next few weeks before finding it a suitable home.

Thank you Prodigy!

It's been a long time!

But last Sunday nite I finally got the chance to see the Prodigy in concert again. They headlined the Hi-Fi techno festival in Mullingar over the Bank Holiday weekend. As expected it was a great festival with a good line-up of DJs, acts and plenty of beats, drums and decks. These type of events don't happen often in this part of the world, so the 5 hour drive up to Mullingar was more than worth it, and well now that I can help Legal Eagle with the driving, it isn't that bad anymore!

The other news: well, Legal Eagle is starting a new job in town next week, so we're delighted with that. All going well, I'll be painting the kitchen tonight and with a bit of luck I'll get it finished before heading off to Kerry tomorrow evening.

And I forgot to say that Legal Eagle is nursing little Nemo over the last few days. Nemo is about 14 days old at this stage..... Who is Nemo??

It's blue alright!

No pictures yet, but the paintwork is in progress! Legal Eagle did a slendid job doing the ceiling and the walls. I just did a few small jobs after getting home last night. With a bit of luck we'll finish off the livingroom today and I'll have piccies to show tomorrow!
