Weddings, wind and painting!

As I've been in training for the last two weeks at the new job, I haven't had as much time as I would have liked to work on the blog. Well, as I've now started officially I should be in front of a terminal all the time!

Well, the last week has been a lovely week; We went up to Limerick for a great wedding, travelled further up north to our friend in Balla, Co Mayo and then even further north visiting Achill Island on Saturday. Unfortunately the wind and rain were getting too heavy so our little plan of staying the night in the tent at the beach didn't materialize.

Ah well.

Legal Eagle just finished painting the ceiling and has started with the livingroom walls, so the sooner I'm outta here the better so I can give her a hand!

Last day before the weekend!!

A few more hours and it's weekend again! Thanks be to God. It's about time, I'm in need of a few days off... not that I'll have a chance to catch up on sleep, but what can you do?

We're on the 09.15 flight to Dublin tomorrow to see some friends for the weekend; should be good fun!! Hopefully by next week I'll have a PC setup and I'll be on the floor working away..... so far it's still training, but next week I should be going live.

I don't understand this heatwave thing that everybody seems to be talking about. It has been 26-29 degrees here, that ain't that warm!!

BBQ!

As it's been a roasting day once again, we couldn't be bothered to stand in the kitchen to make some grub. So you just go shopping, buy one of those disposable BBQs and fire it up outside the apartment.

Nothing else strange, the cheque to cover our water damage was made out in the name of the builders, rather than the owners! Hence, it's gonna be another delay.....*sigh*

Week number 2

A new company, new procedures, new products, new technologies; learn, learn, learn.

I haven't had a chance yet to download the pictures from last week's wedding, but it was a great day!! Legal Eagle sang like an angel and with 27 degrees and a clear blue sky, we had an amazing time!

Update

Ups and Downs?

Well, in the last three weeks:

- Legal Eagle got her exams results
- The apartment suffered from severe water damage
- Both us saw unstable work environments
- I was made redundant
- Found a new job in 4 days
- Started the new job
- Received the green light from the loss adjuster on the water damage.

Awaiting:
- Cheque from insurance company
- Our floor to be restored
- The walls to be painted
- Life to get back to normal again.

Interesting times

Hmmzzz... what shall I say.. interesting times ahead;

Nothing to post about anyway, but let's see what happens - never a dull moment.
