Always take the long way home

It's been a while!

I know, I know! I should have posted since returning from Canada, but it's been fairly busy alright with plenty of social commitments! We had fun though! Dee's new job is going grand, working hard, but learning loads and having fun, so all good! Nothing else strange I'm afraid, I'm back into the cycling again, and yeah, it's a b%#ch when you have strong headwinds like I had coming home last night, but it's all in the game.

We're off to Frank & Linda's wedding tomorrow in UCC and the Maryborough House Hotel. Congratulations to the bride and groom!

Some quick pics - more to follow when back in Cork

Lundbreck Falls

Waterton Lakes

Lake Moraine, Banff National Park

Columbia Icefields, Jasper National Park, Alberta At the bottom you'll see the car park, demonstrating how big this glacier really is.

Cruise Control

Cruise control has proven itself to be the greatest invention of this holiday; we've been going around the Waterton Lakes in southern Alberta (even did a boat trip across to Montana, USA), but then decided to go all the way back up to Lake Moraine; rountrip: 1283km.

We have had an amazing time here in Alberta and I would so recommend this place! Our flight won't be until tomorrow evening, so I better go, have some more sightseeing to do, while we still can!

Eh!

Slurpee!

Okay, this seems to be one of those Canadian things; a Slurpee!!!!It's basically frozen ice with a lot of chemical flavouring and sugar!! It's nice enough though.... but yeah, do go for the small cup, cos with the regular size you'll be all sugared out and as hyper as a 5-year old kid who had too many sweetties!
